Technology/Engineering: One strategy for preventing injuries and violence. This strategy typically involves the implementaton of changes in the design of products and technology with the goal of separating people from destructive energy release or minimizing unwanted energy release. Tertiary prevention: Approaches that take place after an injury or violent event that aim to lessen the long-term effects of the event and reduce the chances of reoccurrence. See also Prevention.
